Student Representative Council This year the SRC have been hard at work, meeting every Monday, Friday and occasionally lunch time, to benefit the student body. Since our last SRC report we have hosted the primary school ‘PJ’ disco, which was a huge success. Money was raised and every student that attended had a great time. Next term we have planned to throw another disco, for the secondary school this time. We have a team of representatives currently organising it so it’ll be a great night for everyone. The SRC have been busy negotiating and planning things like seats to be built along the gym wall. We have sent letters to the deputy involving the construction of these seats. We also have written a letter involving the broken heaters during winter. We received a reply from Mrs Richardson notifying us that spare portable heaters are available for any class any time for emergency situations and they are kept in the front office. This term we have started a suggestion box that is located in the staff room. We encourage all students to take advantage of it and to bring forth their ideas to the SRC. The SRC were very proud to support and run the NAIDOC assembly, the NAIDOC Week mural will be constructed shortly and put up somewhere around the school. We are looking forward to next term as it is promising to be a very productive one, week three will be our secondary disco and we will be organising and pushing our school fundraiser, which will be for local wildlife organisations. We would love to hear your ideas and suggestions, to benefit the student body, so please don’t hesitate in telling your idea to one of our SRC representatives. Thank you.
